I'm far too early. I didn't plan that, I just had a direct change on a different bus. I'm 25 minutes early that way. Well, I'll just change my socks then and put some extra deodorant on, to save me time later.

I take of my sweater and practice everything I know without trouble..
Once I get into the hall, things take a turn for the worse. The Beginners Reel isn't that bad, although I have great trouble to end at the right point and not get nervous.

The Single Jig is a different story. In anger, I leave the room with 3 huge bangs to the floor. I do this so loud that one of the girls is scared. Once I get into the big hall I start to think. Why am I having such a hard time? Why wasn't this bothering me a few years back?

I don't find answers to those question. After a few deep breaths I get called in to dance the Slip Jig, but that's a disaster as well, which makes me change to heavy shoes. Also the heavy shoe-stuff is a pile of mistakes and frustration.

The teacher says that I just have to concentrate, but the more I try, the worse it seems to get. It's the main reason I'm still in doubt about the competition...
