The last class before... and Feis-style practice

The last class before the competition.
I leave home with mixed feelings. It's now or never. I feel it has to go right tonight, otherwise I will drag this image along I should not mess up at the competition.

Relay-start

I worried for nothing. We do start like it's usually done at a Feis. Two dancers together, starting in 'relay' (there's probably a name for it).
This means that all dancers are in line, the music starts and continues to play, while every time (at the right moment) 2 dancers step out of the line and start dancing shortly after.
It's a quiet class tonight, so 2 'Primaries' have to step in.
When the teacher already announced that the Primaries and Intermediates would be starting in Feis-style, many of them complained. I don't see the problem and even like it. But that's probably down to the fact I never started dancing this way and I'm glad I got to practice it.

As said: I worried for nothing. I get both the Reel and Single Jig right the first time. I dance so well I even get the chance to change shoes and dance away on my heavies, even though I won't be doing anything on them at the competition.

Still 'Over 30'

The teacher gives us the times and numbers of our competitions at the end of class. This shows that I'm (still) wrongfully filed in the 'over 30' category.
She says everything will be allright, but deep inside I'm not so sure.

And then class ends and I have all the time in the world to get nervous. You'd think. I made a deal with myself to refrain from practice, looking things up or doing anything associated with dancing, just to prevent me getting nervous. I know what I have to do and I will do so.
