Posture... Posture... Posture...

It is becoming rather dull to hear, but unfortunately it's part of it. Slowly, it goes from a very tiring exercise to someting 'normal'.

My classmates are about to practice a dance for a surprise-performance in honour of Saint Patrick's day. Unfortunately, I can't be around by 'coincidence' when the performance takes place as I have to work. If I had known earlier, I would have called for a day off.

I try to dance the Single Jig in 1 piece (the lead-around and sidesteps for this instance) but I fail: tempo is just a tad too high.

The Single Jig to the rhythm of the Saint Patrick

The teacher starts laughing when I have to do the Single Jig once more and use the music from the Saint Patrick for that one, the music the girls use for the surprise-performance. Without too much trouble, I go through the Single Jig without a mistake.

That's strange... I didn't practice for 2 weeks, but apparently, taking a rest from it did do something.
Without a doubt I can fold my legs quite far to my behind, as far as the opinion of the teacher goes. He says that I do not have to be ashamed how far I can take some moves as a beginner.

The 'T-word' is mentioned: Talent? Me? I answer that the teacher should stop being silly, but have to admit that it's not the first time some time off from dancing made me progress quite a bit.
When I look back, I can be a happy man. 7 Months ago, I could not have thought I would still be dancing now!
